Photos of Smith Island, MD

To see pics from our trip to Smith Island, visit my Flickr account here.  I feel that the set of pictures showing the piles of trash demonstrate how we need to take a stand to protect our environment.  It's upsetting how a place so in-tune with nature and the sea around them could neglect their surroundings and the earth.

You said "I feel that the set of pictures showing the piles of trash demonstrate how we need to take a stand to protect our environment. HOW CAN YOU BE SUCH A NARROW MINDED TWIT TO MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT AFTER TAKING A PHOTO FROM VISITING PERHAPS FOR ONE HOUR ON ONLY ONE DAY!! WHY COULDN'T YOU BE A BIT MORE POSITIVE AND TAKE SOME PHOTOS OF THE BEAUTY THAT IS THERE.

Let me say that Smith Island is an extremely beautiful place and I am extremely grateful I was able to visit. I took many pictures of the beauty of the island, all of which could not be posted to my flickr account. This was a website created to discuss the impact humans have on the environment and I was required for my class to post on this blog about my experiences on my visit. I am far from narrow-minded and I look forward to going back to Smith Island in the future.

For your uninformed mind. There is a garbage disposal facility on Smith Island that processes trash generated by the local community. It is difficult to remove all of the trash all of the time to appease visiting students. In the future you may want to get all of your facts together before you make remarks and show photos of something that you know absolutely nothing about, especially the people that live there. Is the initial "S" in your name for stupid or sh.thead?
